Jori Desq – stage manager / sound design / lighting design

Jori Desq joined a DMA in stage management in Nantes. After discovering theatre, lighting, stage management and general management, he went on to study for a L3 in Performing Arts in Toulouse, then the stage management department of the Théâtre National de Strasbourg. At the same time, he developed his musical skills – clarinet, hurdy-gurdy, electric bass and singing.

During his studies, he closely followed the work of Cie 111 – Aurélien Bory and assisted its lighting designer Arno Veyrat in the creation of Azimut (2013) and Espèce d’Espaces (Avignon 2016). It was at the TNS that he met Maëlle Dequiedt and worked with her on Trust Karaoké Panoramique by Falk Richter (sound, lighting and stage management), then on Pupilla (lighting, then lighting on tour), on I Wish I Was (lighting and stage management) and on Stabat Mater (stage management). He has also worked with Julien Gosselin (stage management for 1993), Guillaume Vincent (stage and sound management for Love Me Tender, stage management for Les Mille et une nuits), Elise Chatauret (stage and sound management for Saint-Félix and À la Vie), and Heidi Folliet (sound and lighting design for La Vie devant soi).
