Since the company was founded and set up in the Hauts-de-France region, our work has been strengthened by local initiatives. The issues of audiences, decentralization, democratisation and cultural rights, and the relationship between professional and amateur practices, are central to our approach. Encounters and exchanges with different audiences including schoolchildren, students and associations, has allowed us to travel around the region and develop new artistic methods. Projects that are co-produced with local communities are considered as artistic objects and our integral to our shows. For example, Les Noces de Figaro (variations), featured a choir of 300 children, including some from Denain, where we were in residency at the time. I Wish I Was integrated a wind band from each of the different towns in which the show toured. Our short film Histoire du Bouc was based on tales and news stories collated from 70 residents and associations of Douchy-les-Mines.
