Marcos Caramés-Blanco – author

Marcos Caramés-Blanco is a writer and playwright. In 2015 he co-founded Cie Continuum in Toulouse, before joining the writing department at ENSATT in Lyon in 2018, co-directed by Enzo Cormann and Samuel Gallet, then Pauline Peyrade and Marion Aubert.
In 2019, his text Départs sans fuite premiered at the Lyon Conservatoire. In the autumn of the same year, Gloria Gloria was awarded the ARTCENA national grant for the creation of dramatic texts. The play was subsequently selected by various reading committees (Comédie de Caen, CDN d’Orléans, Troisième Bureau, Le Rideau Bruxelles) and presented at festivals (Mousson d’été, Actoral, Regards Croisés, Actuelles-TAPS). Following the publication of extracts in La Récolte n°3 in 2021, the play was published by Éditions Théâtrales in 2023.
In 2020, he wrote À sec, a text in six episodes for a creation by Sarah Delaby-Rochette. The script was supported by the À mots découverts collective, and the show was awarded the Beaumarchais-SACD grant.
In 2021, her script Trigger Warning (lingua ignota) was directed by Maëlle Dequiedt (Cie La Phenomena), and selected by ALT, Jeunes Textes en Liberté and POCHE-GVE. The show will be revived at Théâtre Ouvert in autumn 2022.
In 2022, he is in residence at La Colline – théâtre national with Lucas Faulong, to continue his research into youth and marginality. For the Célébrations project, supported by Sequenza 9.3, he is working with composer Laurent Durupt on a short opera libretto for young people. He wrote Ce qui m’a pris, a one-woman show for actress Fanny Brulé-Kopp, the first part of which premiered at the Anciens Abattoirs in Mons (Belgium). He renewed his collaboration with Sarah Delaby-Rochette (Cie troisbatailles) for the creation of Gloria Gloria, the first stage of which, scheduled for 2023, was presented at the JT22 festival in Paris. The show will be revived at Théâtre Ouvert from 11 to 20 December 2023. Bouche cousue, a text aimed at high school students, was published in the collection Troisième regard by Éditions Théâtrales Jeunesse.
For the 22-23 season, Marcos Caramés-Blanco is associated with l’Arc – scène nationale du Creusot, where he is working on writing Jonathan Mallard’s next show, as well as a collaborative project with Pauline Peyrade and Rémy Barché.
